On June 27th, 1989 two CUTW/CWA members tragically lost their lives while working in a manhole in Danbury. Joe Depanfilis and Ron Espitee were two young, energetic and charismatic men who had many more years of life ahead of them. We gathered at the Danbury garage this morning to remember them and renew our commitment to safety at work and in all parts of our lives. As union employees we pride ourselves in safe, quality work. Let us use this anniversary to remind us to focus upon and practice safety – Everyday and Everywhere. Please take a moment today to pause and reflect.
