Message from CWA 1298 President Dave Weidlich
I would like to thank everybody who has been participating in mobilization activities. They are critically important to our success. We met with the company this week and exchanged proposals. Both parties are evaluating proposals and reviewing information. CWA 1298 strike training was conducted this week and trained 150 members to prepare and coordinate strike activities and assignments. Everyone is fully prepared and has all the information to execute a strike. We have identified other members who are interested in participating and may be conducting an additional training class. This is a critical step during contract negotiations. We will be conducting a strike authorization vote closer to expiration. We appreciate those who stepped up to help the local execute and support the plan. We are fully prepared to fight to achieve the fair and just contract we deserve.
