In 2014 T-Mobile refused to bargain with CWA and was ordered back to the table by the NLRB. T-Mobile and CWA 1298 resumed bargaining today nearly 4 years later.

The union made the following proposals:

  • On call pay-increase
  • Overtime calculations -Overtime after 8 and PTO and Holidays counting towards 40 hours
  • Excused time for rest-sleep time
  • Bulletin Boards - Increased access
  • Grievance and Arbitration- Improved language
  • We will be making a complete and comprehensive proposal for job security and force adjustments in our next sessions which are scheduled in September.

Our members in T-Mobile are facing a pending merger with T-Mobile acquiring Sprint. We have seen our members jobs eliminated and be replaced with contractors for lower wages in other large mergers. When Sprint merged with Nextel, technician jobs were outsourced to a vendor who paid significantly lower wages and benefits.

It is important for T-Mobile members with questions or concerns to reach out to their Mobility Headquarters VP Frank Oliva at 203-230-5705 or Foliva@cwa1298.org.
