Medical Deductibles and Beneficiary Information Frontier Transition update Post close October 29 The union has been notified that AT&T’s Medical administrator Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois has not yet transferred the accumulated out of pocket expenses and deductibles to Anthem.  Because Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois is paying the claims through October 24, the data that captures the medical deductibles and out of pocket contributions cannot be transferred  to Frontier’s administrator, Anthem.   BCBSIL will be sending an updated accumulated report to Anthem in the near future.  Anthem is fully committed to load all the accumulated expenses as soon as they are received. Because of this delay, some members are experiencing difficulty when payment verification is incorrectly applied.    Frontier has forwarded our concerns regarding this issue to Anthem in hopes of communicating to the verification department the data delay so that providers can be informed.   In another matter, Life insurance and AD&D insurance beneficiary information is not loaded in Frontier’s benefit system at Empyrean. This is  because it was not loaded in AT&T's administrator's  (Aon Hewitt),system therefore,  it did not transfer.  Beneficiary designations are done at Fidelity and they have forwarded a file to Frontier so that they can review and process it  into their benefits database at Empyrean.  This will be done in the near future. For now please be aware that your beneficiaries are on file with Fidelity and have been reported to Frontier.
