Frontier Update PURA Grants Final Approval

The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA)  has approved Frontier Communications Corporation (FTR) and AT&T Inc.request for a change of control.   Frontier will purchase AT&T's local exchange carrier wire line business and related fiber network in the State of Connecticut for $2 billion. This sale excludes AT&T Mobility, AT&T  Corp. and Teleport Communications of America (TCA).   Frontier has promised the State of Connecticut to improve the broadband internet services to not increase residential rates for 3 years. The expected close date is October 24, 2014 and  thousands of CWA Local 1298 members are ready for their transition to a their employer - Frontier Communications.  Click Here for a copy of the decision
