The Union has recently been made aware that members who recently accepted the SVSP have received letters from Frontier explaining that their recent employment status change has caused them to receive notification that they "no longer have life insurance with Frontier". This is misleading because the company life insurance is still in effect, although at a different level of benefit. In 2009 bargaining retiree life insurance was changed to reflect the 2009 wages instead of current wages. This change goes into effect when an employee retirees. Frontier is providing an opportunity for retirees to sign up to continue their active employee life insurance levels as supplemental life insurance . The cost for this insurance will be provided by Securian Life Insurance by calling 866-293-6047.
