Today we learned, as did everyone else, from a news column in the CT Post that Frontier Communications has put the Norwalk garage on the market for sale. We are extremely disappointed in finding out about this highly impacting move to our members in the morning newspaper and have expressed our displeasure to Frontier upper leadership. This is not how a partnership works. It is not the way anyone should learn such a vital piece of information about their place of work and shows a lack of respect to their employees. After talking with Frontiers Senior Vice President and Connecticut’s General Manager Paul Quick this morning, he has agreed to put together a communication for the members with the company’s reasoning behind this move and what plans they have if a buyer is found. He will share that information with the employees as soon as he can. As of now there are no prospective buyers, and should one come forward there is a definite condition of sale for a lease-back option. They are exploring all options to see if it makes sense financially to stay as is, selling and leasing back or, find a new facility in the Norwalk area that will house our employees, vehicles and equipment. We will share information as it comes as well. Below is the link to this morning’s article. http://m.ctpost.com/business/article/Frontier-lists-Norwalk-facility-for-sale-9242591.php?cmpid=fb-tablet
