CWA filed comments yesterday at the FCC opposing the Frontier acquisition of AT&T. This sale has a direct impact on the jobs, the economy, and the consumers of Connecticut. It has been three months since the announcement of this sale was made and Frontier has not demonstrated that this acquisition is in the public’s best interest therefore until we have more information from AT&T and Frontier, we cannot support this sale. CWA has a need to gather information required to represent our member’s best interest and have made several efforts to get this information, unfortunately, neither AT&T nor Frontier have been cooperative. Because the companies have failed to provide essential information about the proposed transaction, we ask that the commission not conclude that the transaction serves the public best interest. Until such time as both companies begin to cooperate and produce concrete verifiable information, we will not support this deal. Click the link below for our comments.
