CWA Local 1298 has been effects bargaining with Frontier and AT&T for a number of months now. We have completed bargaining with Frontier and the results are the latest Memorandum of Understanding that we shared which agrees to a two year extension on our contract.
AT&T Bargaining has not been completed, although we have come to a conclusion on seniority, and realize the need to inform our members how their job titles transfers will be handled after being split between both employers.
We are happy to say we have maximized seniority opportunities in the following five job titles who have some people retained at AT&T and some being transferred to Frontier. A canvas will be done this week in the following job titles:
Customer Service Technician
Construction Office Assistant
General Office Associate
Network Delivery Technician
Network Technician Electronic
While other issues are still being discussed in bargaining with AT&T, it is important to note that the AT&T Collective Bargaining Agreement will expire April 2016. If you have questions please contact your department vice presidents at union headquarters 203-288-5271.
