Careplus Notification AT&T sent a notification to employees who transferred to Frontier regarding Care Plus Benefits.  The notification explains that the Care Plus benefits will continue for employees who have transferred to Frontier at no cost for a period of three years beginning November 1, 2014 through October 31, 2017 . The Union recently met with Frontier to discuss the Care Plus benefit where Frontier identified that they could not continue to provide the Care Plus benefit.   Frontier tried several insurance companies, but none would continue the benefit  because it is cost prohibitive based on the amount of employees now with Frontier. AT&T on the other hand has over 300,000 employees which makes the insurance affordable. The benefit will continue at the same cost to us, but we will be paying Frontier not AT&T through payroll deductions.  Through an arrangement with AT&T,  Frontier will pay AT&T for the benefit.  Frontier has also advised that they will allow members who do not currently have Careplus to sign up for this insurance during a special enrollment period that will be announced in December. Paychecks It has come to the unions attention that 39 Frontier employees were not compensated for the overtime differential for on the November 7 paycheck. Frontier reports that this situation has been corrected and will be reflected on the next paycheck. Insurance Beneficiaries Frontier Members have identified that their beneficiaries are not listed on the Frontier Benefits website.   Aon Hewitt, AT&T’s benefits administrator did not maintain this information, instead Fidelity had that info.  Frontier has communicated that they will honor the beneficiaries that are loaded on the Fidelity website, and they will try to get that data over to the benefits website. In the meantime, it is recommended that members access both the Fidelity website and the Benefits website to confirm that their beneficiaries correctly loaded.
