Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Friday, Dec. 3, from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, from The Wallingford Funeral Home, at 10 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Wallingford Animal Shelter, 5 Pent Road, Wallingford, CT 06492, or to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 East Wyoming Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124.

MERIDEN - Jacqueline F. "Jackie" Souza, 48, of Ward St., Wallingford, died, Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Jackie was born in New Haven, July 3, 1962, the daughter of Alice J. Tuttle Ursini Souza, of Wallingford, and the late Joseph J. Souza, and was a lifelong Wallingford resident. She was a graduate of Mark T. Sheehan High School, was employed by AT&T for 28 years, until her retirement, and was also associated with her parents in the operation of the former Windy's Variety Coffee Shop and Luncheonette on Quinnipiac Street in Wallingford. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and was an active participant with the Wallingford Toys for Tots, the Wallingford Animal Shelter, and the Rocky Hill Veterans Hospital.

Besides her mother, Alice, she is survived by her two stepsisters, Marie Montano and her husband, John, of Wallingford, and Georgianna J. Meeks, of Vermont; her stepbrother, Robert A. Ursini, Sr., and his wife, Debra, of Terryville; her aunts and uncles, Anthony Souza, of Port Richey, Fla., Jack Souza and his wife, Barbara, of Wallingford, and Edward Souza, of Old Saybrook; many cousins including her special cousin, Ronald J. Souza, of Wallingford; and her dear friends, Al Kennedy and John Tancredi, both of Wallingford. She is predeceased by her brother, Louis Ursini.
