Glenn Morrison, 53, beloved husband of Nancy (Deighan) Morrison, died peacefully at home on Monday, (September 13, 2010), with his family by his side. The son of Mary (Campbell) Morrison and the late Kenneth T.S. Morrison of East Greenbush, NY, Glenn was born on May 17, 1957. A graduate of Columbia High School in East Greenbush, Glenn played football and was captain of the Blue Devils varsity basketball team. In 1979, Glenn received his Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. Always the adventurer and a firm believer in the idea of making every day count, Glenn set off for Hawaii at age 24 to start his career and ended up meeting his wife – to whom he was happily married for 23 years. Eventually settling in South Windsor, Glenn was employed by AT&T (Wethersfield) as an Advertising Sales Representative and was active in the community, coaching many seasons of basketball, baseball and softball. He loved working on home improvement projects, taking road trips with his family and watching the New York Yankees and Giants. A dedicated father and husband, Glenn will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his loving wife, Nancy and mother, Mary, he leaves his children, Alicia, Gregory, and Aaron, all of South Windsor; a brother, Robert Morrison and his wife, Stephanie of East Greenbush, NY; a sister, Sheryl Lamb and her husband, Charles of Cary, NC; several aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews and many good friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth I. Morrison. A special thank you to: the Oncology team at St. Francis Hospital, the nurses and staff on 8-1 and at the St. Francis Cancer Center.
