SERVICES: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. March 12 at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. March 13 at Evergreen First Missionary Baptist Church in Indiantown. Burial will follow in Port Mayaca Cemetery. Susie Mae Gray, 62, died March 2, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Springfield, Mass. She was born in Dade County and was a former resident of Indiantown, moving to Connecticut in 1969. She was employed by AT&T in East Hartford. She attended the public schools of Martin County, and after moving to Indiantown, she graduated from Murray High School in Port Salerno. She graduated from St. Joseph's College in Jensen Beach. Survivors include her mother, Reatha Gray of Indiantown; sisters, Josie Lee Portee of Indiantown, Betty J. Gray of Port St. Lucie, Geneva Thompkins of Riviera Beach, and Hannah Gray and Rose E. Gray, both of East Hartford, Conn.; and brothers, Theodore Gray of Lakeland, George Gray Jr. of Port St. Lucie, John Gray and Willie "Will" Gray, both of Fort Lauderdale, and Joseph Gray of West Palm Beach. She was preceded in death by her father, George Washington Gray in 2000.
