ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Ms. Barbara Jean (Doty) Petty, 61, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in Lovington, N.M. She was born Nov. 12, 1947, in El Paso, Texas, daughter of the late Mary Horn. Ms. Petty was educated in the El Paso public school system and then moved to Waterbury in 1970. She was employed by SNET/SBC in the operator service area for 34 years and was vice president of CWA Local 1298 Customer Information Services Department at the time of her retirement in 2005.
