Jacquelyn L. Cohen Obituary
Jacquelyn (Cyphers) Cohen of Wallingford, passed away with her loving family by her side on August 11, 2024.
She was born on October 20, 1955 to Clarence Elmer Cyphers (with whom she shared her birthday) and Claire Baldwin Cyphers.
She graduated from Maloney High School in 1973 and was briefly employed by McDonalds before becoming an operator at Southern New England Telephone for 12 years. During that time she met her future husband and became a stay at home mom for 21 years, then returned to work for the Wallingford school system as a building aide before retiring in 2020.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Cohen, of Wallingford; her brother Clifford of Bethel Vermont, her son Daniel Brian of North Haven, and daughter Wendy Rose Cardoza of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Predeceased by her sister Lynn of Burlington, Vermont. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends who will dearly miss her friendly, kind spirit.
