For 11 long months our CWA Brothers and Sisters tried to get an agreement with Verizon. After 7 longs weeks of striking they resisted this large Company's efforts to break our Union by sticking together. The Company sent letters to the membership in efforts to undermine their solidarity, telling them they didn't know why their leadership was on strike. As is typical of management, they do all they can to get the members to second guess the leadership that they elected to represent them. Verizon Managers leaked "rumors" that they would be replaced, stopped their medical benefits... All to no avail. All of these efforts only strengthened the resolve of these members.   CWA Members fought the fight of their lives, and because of this,  CNN Money reported that Verizon stock  went down 5% .  In addition, Fortune.com reports that CWA sent people to uncover the extent of outsourced call centers in  the Philippines  when they are confronted by armed and masked Philippine Police Officers.
