Since CWA notified AT&T that a strike was imminent without significant movement at the bargaining table, the bargaining team expected, with a deadline looming for a strike, that the company would come back with a serious offer. Instead the company has rejected our latest proposal and offered nothing but an increased benefit proposal with increases in health care cost sharing to our members, wages that do not offset those cost, and a two-tier structure which is unacceptable. We felt we made significant movements with our latest proposal in order to attain a fair contract before the deadline but AT&T instead chose to continue its corporate greed mentality and line its pockets off its employee’s backs. We will pick up bargaining again tomorrow morning. Tomorrow at 3pm EST, CWA will be on strike against AT&T’s corporate greed unless they make significant movement towards a fair contract.   In solidarity, Your bargaining team
