Picket with AT&T Mobility Workers on Strike!!

Our struggle with AT&T is coming to a head, and we are asking for support from ALL of our members. On May 16th, we notified AT&T Mobility that we will be on strike FRIDAY, MAY 19th at 3pm through SUNDAY, MAY 21st at 11:59pm. In this contract fight, the critical issues are the preservation of good jobs and preventing the hugely profitable AT&T--the 10th largest company in America, which earned $13 billion in profits last year and paid its CEO, Randall Stephenson, $28 million--from continually escalating workers' share of health care costs.   AT&T has offshored thousands of call center jobs to low-wage call centers in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, the Philippines and elsewhere. In addition, the company is closing its corporate retail outlets, and outsourcing the work to extremely low-wage, non-union "authorized dealers."
