The company agrees that only those employees who are missing information on their original I-9 form are being asked to fill out a new I-9 form. The company has a right in limited circumstances to ask employees to re-verify and fill out new I-9 forms if they are missing information.
The union has requested a complete list of employees who are being requested to fill out a new I-9 form as well as a request for the company to identify the missing information for each individual.
If a manager asks you to complete a new I-9 form please ask for the reason for the re-verification. Do not fill out any I-9 form without first advising your union steward to ensure the company has in fact provided the proper information required to make the request for a re-verification of the I-9 form.
