Officially, Memorial Day is an American holiday, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. We remember and grieve for those who died in wars. In such a way, we can reflect on the price of war and pay tribute to those who paid in full. We visit cemeteries or memorials and participate in parades that honor the fallen.

Unofficially, Memorial Day also marks the beginning of the summer season. We will enjoy the great weather this weekend, hold family gatherings, cookouts, and maybe even heading out to the beach.

While you're enjoying your weekend, please take a moment this Monday to remember and honor all the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to make our American way of life possible.
