With the Labor Day holiday nearly upon us, I would like to take a minute and wish everyone a very Happy Labor Day. This is our holiday, the holiday of the working person. On Labor Day, we raise a glass to the hard work we put in over the past year and remember those in the past who fought for our rights. As union members, we know that good jobs and benefits weren't given to us by a benevolent boss, instead they were fought for through rallies, protests, picket lines, and even strikes. This Labor Day weekend, remember our CWA sisters and brothers who recently ended their strike against AT&T in the Southeast. Honor their sacrifice this weekend as we continue to fight for a more equitable and fair workplace for all workers. Happy Labor Day.
