Happy International Women's Day

Today we celebrate International Women's Day. Every year on March 8th this holiday is celebrated around the world. This year's theme is 'Think equal, build smart, innovate for change'. The focus of this theme is to come up with innovative ways to advance gender equality and empowerment for women. As union members we are fortunate to have equity between men and women when it comes to pay and benefits, but there is still more work to be done. Women who work for non-union employers still make less than men and many face harassment and discrimination on the job. Below is a video from the CWA celebrating International Women's Day.
