I have great news to report about Senate Bill 990 an Act Concerning Call Centers and Notice of Closure. On Thursday March 21 the Labor and Public Employee Committee moved our bill out of Committee. I want to thank Senator Julie Kushner and Representative Robyn Porter for making this happen. I would also thank the members of the Committee who voted yes as well. This is an example of electing labor friendly candidates who represent real labor issues. Our work however is far from complete. We are asking all of our 1298 members, not just call center workers, to call their State Senator and House member and ask them to co-sponsor and vote YES in support the Call Center Bill. With your help, we can get this done. Below, I have included a script as well as the general line for both the State House and the State Senate.
