Time is running out to get your tickets for the union picnic on September 23rd. The deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, September 17th. Tomorrow, Friday, September 7th, Secretary-Treasurer Louise Gibson will be at 310 Orange St in New Haven (cafeteria) from 12:00-2:00 selling tickets. They can also be bought online by clicking here. Don't miss out, buy your tickets today. More details about the picnic are included below.

We are happy to announce the date for the 2018 Union Picnic. The picnic will be held on Sunday, September 23rd at Holiday Hill, Prospect, CT from 10:00 - 5:00. The CWA Local 1298 Executive Board has agreed to offset some of the cost of admission for the members and their family members. The cost per ticket will be $15.00. This price includes:

 

10:00-12:00

Fresh Donuts, Danish, Muffins and Bagels
 

11:00-2:00

New England clam chowder, assorted cheeses and crackers, vegetable crudités with dip and a make your own Taco station.
 

12:00-4:00

Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers, BBQ and Southern Fried Chicken, hot sliced roast beef au jus, Italian sausage with onions and peppers, three cheese baked penne, assorted Salads, corn on the cob, New England Baked Beans, fresh coleslaw, chilled watermelon slices, decorated sheet cake and brownies with ice cream.

An ice cream truck will be on site for free treats. Popcorn and Cotton candy will be available as well.

There will life guards on duty, canoes, kayaks and rowboats on the lake. Activity directors to run games and contests throughout the day. And a clown to entertain the children with tricks and balloons. There will also be a disc jockey to play music for dancing and games, an arts and crafts program, pony rides for the kids, an alpine rock climbing wall, air brush tattoos and bingo games with prizes for all winners.

As you can see it will be a fun filled day for the entire family. Make sure you save the date so you can attend. Come by and meet people from all over our local. Get to know your fellow CWA brothers and sisters outside of work.
