AT&T notified the union today that a surplus condition exists in the title of Maintenance Administrator which is in E16 pool. Effective September 16, they will offer the Enhanced Voluntary Severance Plan (EVSP) to all members in the impacted pool within the entities identified. Anyone approved for the EVSP must be off the payroll by the end of the day, November 5, 2015 or on a date specified by the Company.  Although the company has agreed to consider all applicants, requesting the EVSP does not guarantee approval which will be subject to limits defined by the Company.  A total of 17 people are affected by the surplus in the following titles: EEO JG Job Title E16 Computer Systems Specialist 4   Constructon Ofc Administrator 1   Customer Equipment Rep 1   Maintenance Administrator 5   Network Administration Associate 4   Network Translator 2 EVSP forms must be returned by 12:00 PM, Thursday October 1, 2015. The union has requested that the company offer the Enhanced Offer/ Early Retirement Benefit (EO/ERB). It is the Company’s position that no enhanced pension benefit under the Movement of Work MOA will be offered to Maintenance Administrators nor any other job title in the Surplus announcement because it is their belief that the qualifications required to receive this benefit has not been met. The company has identified lack of work as their reason, and have advised that no guaranteed job offer (GJO) is available. The Union will be present at tomorrow's meeting scheduled with members involved in the surplus.
