MERIDEN - Robert S. Popovich 72, of Meriden, formerly of Wallingford, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Linda Rothle Popovich.
Bob was born in Shamokin, Pa., May 15, 1940, the son of the late Joseph and Edith "Sis" Davis Popovich, was raised in Wallingford, and was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School, where he played on the football and baseball teams.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Joseph Popovich and his wife, Rose, of Wallingford, Tracy Danko and her husband, Thomas, of Wallingford, Teri Bristol Kasper and her husband, Jason, of Meriden and Joy Bristol Covell and her husband, Mark, of Burbank, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah, Hailey, Joshua, Jennifer, Aidric, and Josie; three great-great-grandchildren, Jason, Jesse, and Faith; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs at MidState Medical Center, and Gaylord Hospital.
