A memorial service will be held Thursday (August 21, 2014) at 7pm at Kensington Congregational Church, 312 Percival Avenue, Berlin, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall at the church. Burial in West Lane Cemetery, Kensington will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
ENSINGTON, Amy Louise (Bylek) Nelson, 51, of Kensington, loving wife of Carl G. Nelson, died Wednesday (August 13, 2014) at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late John A. Bylek Sr. and the late Edna (LaFlamme) Bylek, she graduated from Berlin High School, and was employed at AT&T. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Ryan Nelson of Middletown, and Stephen Nelson in New Jersey, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Eleanor Nelson of Kensington, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Karen Bylek of Berlin, Raymond and Maria Bylek of Colchester, and Richard Bylek of Wallingford, three sisters and four brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Alan Potanka of Berlin, JoAnn and Daniel Majewski of New Britain, Shelly Bylek of Berlin, and Paul and John Nelson of Colchester, several nieces and nephews, and a life-long friend, Lisa McKeon of Kensington.
