Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Wednesday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
Joseph W. Budahazy,(Bear) age 39, of Ansonia entered into rest suddenly on Friday, July 19, 2013 at his home. He was born in Bridgeport, beloved son of William J. and Rita (Hull) Budahazy and was a Shelton resident for most of his life until moving to Ansonia. Joseph was an engineer for 15 years with AT&T. He was an honors graduate of Shelton High School Class of 1992. Joseph graduated Alfred University in 1996 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He played (SYSO) Shelton Youth Soccer in both the In House , the Travel and District Select Teams. Joseph was a Classic Car buff, who loved the Ford Mustang. He owned both a classic 1965 Mustang which he, his Dad, and his brother restored, as well as a 2005 Mustang, and was a member of the Late Model Mustang Club. Joseph was an avid fan of the N.Y. Giants and the N.Y. Yankees. He also enjoyed gardening, physics and brewing his own beer. Joseph is the loving brother of Michael J. Budahazy and Kristy L. Budahazy, uncle of Taylor J. and Dylon A. Budahazy and nephew of Jay R. Budahazy. He is also survived by several cousins.
His family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph W. Budahazy Scholarship Fund that will benefit a graduate at Shelton High School who plans on participating in an Engineering Career through the funeral home.. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.
