His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Tuesday, October 23, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, from The Wallingford Funeral Home at 9 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the New England Organ Bank, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA. 02451.
David J. Krista, 60, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Marie Owen Krista, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 after a long illness at Yale New Haven Hospital.
David was born in New Haven, November 15, 1951, a son of the late William R. Krista and Catherine Brown Krista and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. David was a graduate of North Branford High School and had been employed by AT&T since 1980. He was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford.
Besides his wife Marie, he is survived by his two daughters Theresa Krista of Cambridge, MA., and Caitlin Krista of Quincy, MA; his sister Carol M. Ball of Virginia; his brother Kenneth R. Krista and his wife Debbie of Branford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers Richard Krista and Robert Krista.
David’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Yale New Haven Hospital 9 West Transplant Unit for all of the excellent care and compassion they provided.
