A wake service for Al's life will be held on Saturday, August 24 in the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N. Cliff St., Ansonia from 9:30 to 12:30 and then a celebration of his life from 1pm to 4pm at The Seymour Land Trust, 13 Chatfield St., Seymour, Ct. Burial will be held in the future in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery. Alan Shortell of Beacon Falls died suddenly, Saturday, in Shelton. He was born in Derby on Oct. 31, 1956, son of Madeline (Beck) Shortell and the late Thomas W. Shortell. He was employed as a Cable Tech for S.N.E.T. Co. and A.T.T. for 29 years. A member of the Oxford Men's Softball League and Amity Mixed Bowling League. Survivors besides his mother are daughter, Rebecca, sons, Brandin, Adam, Alan Jr., Kyle, sisters, Maureen (Sergio) Desiderato and Kelli (William) Brown.
