It began in 2012, when  AT&T managers performed an illegal lockout of Premise Technicians during negotiations.Workers were wearing their buttons with the WTF "Where's the Fairness" insignia, and were ordered to remove them or go home with no pay. In a great show of solidarity, these workers stood their ground.  Formal Charges were filed by Local 9003   Click Here for that story.   It is now 2014, and justice, though slow in coming, was delivered (AT&T's World Delivered to them).  Their rights under the NLRB to  partake in protected concerted activity were upheld.  CWA Local 1298 is proud of the mobilization efforts of our brothers and sisters in California,  who stood up for their rights with a show of solidarity,  and prevailed.  The good guy came in first this time.  In a recent decision, the NLRB Judge ordered AT&T  to stop threatening employees who wore union buttons or stickers.  AT&T has been ordered to make these employees whole (with interest), and to rescind Sect. 13.3 of the Premise Tech Guidelines. AT&T cannot accept this loss with grace, and according to Local 9300 will be appealing this decision. Click Here for recent story.
