Connecticut Team:   I am very pleased to share that our network is fully operational throughout the state and there are no widespread service interruptions at this time. In areas where commercial power is disrupted, some of our remotes are running on battery power to continue providing service to customers.    Although Storm Juno is still impacting parts of the state particularly in our Eastern CT region, it has begun to lessen its grip on many areas. Given the improvement, Governor Malloy has lifted the local travel ban on secondary roads for Fairfield and Litchfield counties. We anticipate that travel bans will continue to be lifted throughout the day as conditions improve.   At this time, we will begin contacting employees in critical functions – e.g., construction, C.O., engineering and field technicians particularly in Litchfield and Fairfield counties -- to report to work to help with emergency situations pertaining to commercial power outages, downed poles and cables, central office issues, and other service impacting situations. Employees should stay close to their phones throughout the day for further updates regarding today’s work schedule.   Other updates:   ·         All Contact Centers are closed for the remainder of the day. All Contact Center employees should be prepared to report in to their regular shifts tomorrow morning.   ·         Functional leaders will be contacting their respective teams regarding work schedules for later today. Again, some areas received less snow than predicted and travel bans are lifting, so we will begin call outs to techs and other critical personnel as soon as its safe. Please stand by and be ready.   ·         Other team areas should continue to phone in to departmental hot lines for updates, and/or await direction from your supervisors.   ·         For all employees who are not asked to report in today, please note that at this time we expect everyone to be ready to report in to their usual work locations in the morning.   I want to thank everyone for the great teamwork and support you’ve demonstrated over these past days. You’ve prepared well and worked hard to ensure our customers have continuity of service. Our plan for the next several days is again, first and foremost, to look after your safety. Thank you for this terrific team effort to take care of our customers.   Regards,   Ken Arndt President, East Region
