IPAD Mini Raffle to Support Fairpoint Brothers and Sisters at Local 1400

CWA LOCAL 1298 IS SPONSORING A RAFFLE TO BENEFIT CWA LOCAL 1400 WORKERS ON STRIKE On October 17th, nearly 2,000 FairPoint workers in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont went ON STRIKE because the North Carolina-based company that’s largely owned by Wall Street hedge funds wants to dramatically increase their health care costs, freeze their pensions, end retiree health care, and turn their good middle-class jobs into temporary jobs with poverty wages.   Of course there is never a good time to go on strike… especially during the holidays. CWA District 1 has asked all Local’s in the District to do a fund raiser in order to raise enough money to buy a Thanksgiving dinner for those members who are on Strike.
