Many members have not taken advantage of the funds available in the Health Care Reimbursement account that was bargained in 2009 bargaining.  AT&T deposited $300 for individuals and $600 for families for  core active bargaining unit members in 2010. This money is to help with any out of pocket expenses for healthcare , vision, and dental that have been incurred. If you participate in the Company's Blue Cross Blue Shield plan  take the time to use this fund. Do not let the money go unused. It is much better in your pocket than in theirs.  Also, an important message for any employees who leave the company.  What happens if you leave the company and have not used the funds in my HRA account will I still have the account for my use? At retirement, there is no change to your HRA account. The account continues indefinitely. At termination, your participation in the plan ends on the last day of the month in which your employment ends. Any claims incurred through the end of that month are eligible for reimbursement.  You have until March 31 of the following year to submit claims. However, you may elect to continue participation in the HRA if you elect COBRA, which would allow you to avoid forfeiture of the funds in your remaining account.    The number for more information on your HRA  is 800 283 3211(SHPS)
