CWA Local 1298 and Members Hold an Informational Picket at YP LLC

CWA Local 1298 members from TELCO & YP,  along with the Executive Board, held an informational picket in support of our YP union brothers & sisters at Long Wharf in New Haven.   Since the purchase of the Yellow Page division of AT&T, the management of YP LLC  here has been determined to have their way with our contract and try to silence the stewards and Chief Steward Rene McCord with  harassment and intimidation tactics.   These officers have done their best to support the members of their work groups by enforcing the provisions of a contract that YP LLC once  agreed to, but now believes they do not have to abide by.   YP is unilaaterally attempting to make changes to the Storm Policy,  "Call Flow" in T=Sales, in addition to changing the compensation plan.  We have requested bargaining,  filed grievances and initiated board charges over these egregious violations of the National Labor Relations Act.  The unilateral changes were compounded  when YP management refused to bargain "Call Flow" changes and then suspended six members for not following it. Today CWA Local 1298 sent a clear message today that when you attack one of us you attack all of us.
