The Union Bargaining Committee continues to meet with the Company. Most of our time has been spent in subcommittee meetings trying to address specific issues. Movement has been very slow, and we continue to let the company know what issues are most important to you.
As you should know by now, the Union has released the results of the strike vote. You voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike. The vote was 95% in favor of authorizing the strike, but more importantly you voted in record numbers. This was the highest participation we have ever had in a strike vote, which sends a clear message to the company that we are ready to do whatever is necessary to get a fair contract. Your bargaining team thanks you for your support and the loud message you sent to AT&T! We have signed a two-week extension and will continue to fight as long as it takes. The new contract expiration date is Friday, April 3rd.
Stay mobilized! Stay angry!
