A few weeks ago, an accident on I-95 in Norwalk resulted in a closed highway for several days. This fire also melted Frontier’s telecommunication fiber and copper cables which ran under the bridge. CWA Local 1298 members stepped up and rerouted facilities to get customer’s service back. Most services were restored in 72 hours. Some copper troubles took longer than expected because of traffic patterns and other issues not our member’s control. Our members did outstanding work and demonstrated the value of dedication to their jobs. On behalf of the CWA Local 1298 Executive Board, I wanted to recognize the great work done by our members. Thank you, to all our members who participated in this important restoration.
