Beginning February 4th, 2022, members will be receiving by U.S. mail instructions for voting on our tentative agreement. The Executive Board will hold a contract explanation meeting on February 9th, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. to allow all our members the opportunity to be informed and ask questions. We have also attached details of the agreement on the website so that you can have the time to review and have your questions ready for the meeting. The meeting will take place via Zoom. To attend, you must register prior to the meeting by visiting www.cwa1298.org

The Contract ratification vote will be done by confidential telephone or web link voting through the American Arbitration Association. Your voting instructions and personalized pin code are being mailed on February 4th, 2022, and the voting period will be open from 9 a.m. on February 9th until noon on February 23rd, 2022. Even if you receive your ballot prior to February 9th, please remember that voting will not be open until 9:00 a.m. that day. It is important to note that a "NO VOTE" also constitutes a re-certification of a strike authorization vote. If ratified the contract will be in effect from October 17th, 2021, through October 19th, 2024.

Over the past several months, the Bargaining Committee fought hard to get everything our members deserve. As always, we prioritized and successfully maintained Job Security with a Guaranteed Job Offer as well as our Call Center protection agreement for the life of the contract. We also achieved the elimination of two-tier work rule carve outs and medical costs. We successfully negotiated contract language gaining post-employment retiree healthcare with a bridge to Medicare (age 65). We gained significant wage increases and improvements to the commission plans for Leverage title members. Lastly, we successfully negotiated the framework to allow for work at home with work location protections, as well as scheduling improvements for the Plant department.  We unanimously recommend this tentative agreement for your approval. We hope to see everyone at the contract ratification meeting, and we will stay on as long as needed to address all your questions and concerns.

In Solidarity,

Your Executive Board
