Arrangements: Calling hours will be held Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather” 

Mr. Tyler J. Amato, 61 of 38 Woodcrest Drive, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 28, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Levegnale) Amato. 

Tyler was born in New Haven on June 13, 1953, son of Jacqueline (Baribault) Amato of Guilford and the late Salvatore Amato. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed collecting shells and rocks, walks on the beach, playing cards including pinochle and canasta. He was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed his fish tanks and fish pond, and especially loved playing with his grandchildren. 

Besides his wife of 35 years and mother, Tyler leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Lisa Amato and her fiancé Brian Girardin of Bristol and Andrea Amato and her boyfriend Tom Vizzo of Waterbury, his brother, Russell Amato of North Branford, his sisters, Susan Amato of Missouri, Sally Amato, and Tracy Proctor both of North Branford, and his grandchildren, Skylar and Kade, also several nieces and nephews.
