COLEBROOK — Robert A. Suprenant, 70, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, following a short illness.
Born in New Britain May 18, 1945, he was the son of the late William A. and Marie O. (Onisto) Suprenant, and had lived in Colebrook since 1983. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for Southern New England Telephone Co. as an outside plant technician for 29 years. He was a graduate of the New Britain High School, class of 1963, and received his bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University in 1971.
Robert had been a member of the Colebrook Planning and Zoning Commission for the past 23 years, and chairman for the past few years.
He is survived by his sister, Catherine M. Peuple and her husband, Patrick, of Grasse, France.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Eno Hill Cemetery in Colebrook, as he wished.
