The union received the following information from Frontier today. This communication will be shared with all Frontier employees tomorrow electronically. The union has communicated on several occasions with the company expressing the need for this type of coverage for our members and their families. We are very happy that our members will now be able to utilize ABA treatment to enhance the lives of their families!
Subject: Frontier Self-Insured Plans Will Provide Coverage for Applied Behavior Analysis
As of August 1, 2019, Frontier medical plans are providing Coverage for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for the treatment of autism. Applied Behavioral Analysis ABA is an evidence-based, outpatient behavioral health treatment for autism. Research shows that the majority of individuals who undertake this treatment will have improvement to symptoms and the effects can be life-long. Precertification for ABA services will be required.
