We are happy to announce the date for our CWA Local 1298 2023 Union Summer Outing. We will be celebrating our 25th year of affiliation with CWA!!
The outing will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Holiday Hill in Prospect, CT from 10:00AM - 5:00PM. The CWA Local 1298 Executive Board has agreed to offset most of the cost of admission for our members and their family members. The cost per ticket will be $15.00
Tickets are available to active dues paying members in good standing only. Ticket sales are limited to a maximum of 6 per member. You must also attend the event if you are buying tickets. CWA Local 1298 reserves the right to deny or cancel ticket sales based on the above criteria.
This price includes:
10:00-12:00 Fresh Donuts, Danish, Muffins and Bagels
11:00-2:00 New England clam chowder, assorted cheeses and crackers, vegetable crudités with dip and a make your own Taco station.
12:00-4:00 Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers, BBQ and Southern Fried Chicken, hot sliced roast beef au jus, Italian sausage with onions and peppers, three cheese baked penne, assorted Salads, corn on the cob, New England Baked Beans, fresh coleslaw, chilled watermelon slices, decorated sheet cake and brownies with ice cream. An ice cream truck will be on site for free treats. Popcorn and Cotton candy will be available as well.
There will be lifeguards on duty, there is a large pool as well as canoes, kayaks and rowboats on the lake. Activity directors will run games and contests throughout the day, and a clown will entertain the children with tricks and balloons. There will also be a disc jockey to play music for dancing and games, an arts and crafts program, pony rides for the kids, an alpine rock-climbing wall, air brush tattoos and bingo games with prizes for all winners. There are basketball courts and a softball field (equipment provided by Holiday Hill). As you can see it will be a fun filled day for the entire family. Make sure you save the date so you can attend. Come by and meet people from all over our local. Get to know your fellow CWA brothers and sisters outside of work. Don’t forget your bathing suits and towels!!
