Labor Day Road Race in New Haven will be Held September 7 - Volunteers Needed

This year's New Haven road race will be held September 7.   Over 6000 racers will be running the 5k up to the 20K. For many  years CWA Local 1298 members volunteered by handing out water and Gatorade to the runners.  This event has been a tradition first spareheaded by one of our members  Janice Houde of Hamden who  passed away in 2010.    Long time member Pam Jaynes has picked up the reins and is helping CWA Local 1298 keep this long time tradition running.   Our station location is at the corner of Chapel Street & Sherman Ave.   We need all of your help to make this a successful turnout!!!   LOCATION: Corner of  Chapel St & Sherman Ave  TIME :          7:00 am – 7:15 am. ( The event is over in a couple of hours - depending on the last runners ) Be prepared to get wet and have a good time while performing a good deed.  Any members interested in helping with this long tie endeavor please call CWA Local 1298 and sign up with Marilyn or Laureen at 203-288-5271.  Free T-Shirts will be provided to volunteers please leave your T-Shirt Size  and contact information.
