Dear Frontier Members,
Beginning October 24th 2019, members will be receiving by U.S. mail instructions on voting on our tentative agreement. The Executive Board will hold a contract explanation meeting on November 7th, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. to allow all of our members the opportunity to be informed and ask questions. A complete package including all the details of the tentative agreement will be provided to each member at this meeting. We have also attached details of the agreement on the website so that you can have the time to review and have your questions ready for the meeting. The meeting will take place at the Oakdale Theatre located at 95 S. Turnpike Rd, Wallingford CT 06492.
The Contract ratification vote will be done by confidential telephone voting through the American Arbitration Association. Your voting instructions and personalized pin code were mailed today, and the voting period will be open from noon on October 25th until noon on November 21st, 2019. It is important to note that a “NO VOTE” also constitutes a re-certification of a strike authorization vote, and the Voluntary Severance Package is contingent on ratification of this tentative agreement. If ratified the contract will be in effect from October 15th, 2019 through October 16th, 2021.
The Executive Board worked tremendously hard to put our members in the best possible position with a Company that is financially unstable. We worked hard to address the most crucial areas including wages, health benefits, pensions and job security. We unanimously recommend this tentative agreement for your approval. We hope to see everyone at the contract ratification meeting and we will stay as late as needed to address all of your questions and concerns.
