AT&T Core Bargaining Update for May 19, 2017

The company and the union did not meet today as hoped. Your bargaining team is very disappointed that the company did not take the deadline serious. CWA Local 1298 passed a proposal yesterday that we felt would get us closer to an agreement with significant movement in the companies direction however AT&T decided to reject that proposal and again propose benefit hikes, wages that don’t offset the increases in benefits and are still pushing for a two-tier workforce. We will proceed with our strike as planned starting at 3pm today, May 19, 2017 and return to work on Monday, May 22, 2017. Please reach out to your strike captains for more details.
