A funeral service was held for immediate family at Bibber Memorial Chapel in Wells on Thursday, July 25, 2013. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice . Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk. 

Don was born in New Haven, Conn., on Aug. 1, 1946, the youngest of five children. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. He worked for Southern New England Telephone Company (later AT&T) for 41 years. Don was a vivacious person, enthusiastic and outgoing. He enjoyed music, working in his yard, cooking for friends and family, digging for clams in the bay, golfing and target shooting. Don approached his endeavors with zeal, and he inspired those he loved to do the same.

In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his son, Marc, of Black Diamond, Wash.; his daughter, Christine (Speight,) of Wells, Maine; three brothers, Joseph, of Madison, Conn., Richard, of Boynton Beach, Fla., Robert, of Branford, Con.; and a sister, Carol Provitz, of East Haven, Conn.; his grandson, Carter, of Black Diamond, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

WELLS, Maine - Donald R. Caprio, 66 years old, died suddenly on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Southern Maine Medical Hospital in Biddeford, Maine. He was the devoted and loving husband of Karen (Ziegler) Caprio for 43 years. The couple had recently moved to Wells, Maine from Brewster, Mass., to be closer to family.
